Karina Allen currently attends the University of Kansas and studies Mathematics and Actuarial Science. She participates in KU’s Oread Singers and loves spending time in the libraries on campus. Karina has formal training in classical and jazz piano, clarinet, and voice. She is self-taught in the electric bass and ukulele. In her free time, Karina can be found reading, studying, and composing music. She started composing music in Spring of 2020, just before the pandemic hit, and has completed several pieces, including “Train Home”, a SSA choral piece, and “Do Not Stand by My Grave and Weep”, a TTB choral piece. She continues to devote time to composing everyday and hopes to hear all her pieces come to life!
